The print head/thermal strip in a label printer is a worn part. The thermal line has direct contact with passing labels or tape and can wear and tear over time. As soon as the print output becomes incomplete or weak, the print head must be replaced.
When ordering, pay attention not only to the type of printer, but also to the printing technology (direct thermal or thermal transfer) and resolution (dpi). Some printers are available in up to four resolution variants (150dpi, 203 dpi, 300 dpi, or 600 dpi).
